"Soon You'll Get Better" - Managing ill and injured employees

This webinar will guide employers through the tangled web of legislative obligations they face when dealing with an ill or injured employee.

In her usual entertaining and informative style, our Managing Director and Principal, Athena Koelmeyer, will guide employers through the tangled web of legislative obligations they face when dealing with an ill or injured employee, including:

  • Workers compensation - the impact of claims on what employers can and can't do in terms of the ill or injured employee's employment.
  • Disability discrimination  - what do the terms 'inherent requirements' and 'reasonable adjustments' mean?
  • Medical evidence - what evidence do employers need to make a soundly based decision to terminate an ill or injured employee's employment?
  • Defending general protections and unfair dismissal claims.
  • What can employers do when an ill or injured employee presents an increased work, health and safety risk to themselves and their fellow employees?

The webinar will begin at 11.00 am (AEST) on Thursday, 23 May 2024.
