We are tremendously proud of our existing ‘Champion’ athletes and teams and are excited to announce a new partnership with the GWS GIANTS as the official player partner for defender, Ellie Brush for the 2020 AFLW season.
Our Female Champions program has rapidly grown in recent years as we support and encourage as many women as possible to live out their dream of being a professional athlete in whatever sport or sports they choose.
We are tremendously proud of our existing ‘Champion’ athletes and teams and are excited to announce a new partnership with the GWS GIANTS as the official player partner for defender, Ellie Brush for the 2020 AFLW season.
As a dual sports star, currently playing both football (Sydney FC) and AFL at the highest possible levels, Ellie is an inspiration and trail-blazer for the next generation of female athletes.
Workplace Law CEO and Director, Shane Koelmeyer said:
“The strong commitment by the GWS GIANTS to ensure their AFLW players feel valued and supported, in their own right, was something we just couldn’t ignore. When it comes to Ellie, well… how can you not be inspired by her dedication to giving her best effort to both of her teams – all of us at Workplace Law are in awe of all that she has achieved, and is continuing to achieve, in her sporting and professional career.”
A few months ago, the Burra Rays were offered a position in the Samoa 7s competition by Rugby Australia - the only Australian club team selected to attend! The girls travelled to Samoa and competed in the Vodafone 60th Independence International Sevens Tournament played over 10-11 September 2022 and were crowned Women’s Champions 2022!
Inner West Magpies AFL Women's Premier Division took on the current Premier’s, Manly Warringah, on the weekend at Picken Oval. The teams fought it out in the pouring rain and mud with our Magpies prevailing in a 29-11 win!
All of us at Workplace Law want to congratulate Sydney FC’s W-League Captain, Teresa Polias on playing in her 150th game for the Sky Blues in a fantastic 2-0 win against the Western Sydney Wanderers. Not only is Teresa an amazing player, she is also a wonderful leader - humble but also determined, hardworking, competitive and loyal. Teresa also shows other athletes that, while challenging at times, it is possible to ‘do it all’ by playing professional sport and building a successful career off the field.
